 RecitalsWe have a recital once every two or three years. Our recital is a major production at a nice venue such as the Round Rock Performing Arts Center. Each class performs two or more dances. There is a modest ticket price for admission. Special EventsWe are often invited to perform at special events such as:
Chinese New Year - Chinese New Year is a very busy time for us! We usually have many performances at Chinese New Year celebrations for groups such as:
There is usually a modest fee for a special event performance. The arts - The Love of China is involved with the arts in Austin. We performed in Tapestry's ESPRIT! - The Souls of Rhythm and Esprit 2003! at Austin's historic Paramount Theater, and have also performed at One World Theatre as part of the KidsReach program.
Travel Occasionally we travel for performances: Killeen, Houston, Corpus Christi, Port Lavaca... but we have also made a trip to Trinidad. Local Outreach and Service

We
have performed at Children's Hospital of Austin and Austin Children's
Museum, and had a series of performances at local retirement
centers. The Love of
China's director, Emily Dedear, conducts programs at public libraries
and elementary and middle schools to introduce Chinese dance, music, and
the Chinese Yo-Yo.
